Mary Kay Deen Education Center

The Mary Kay Deen (MKD) Education Center took direct inspiration from its namesake: Mary Kay Deen. She was Starfish Cafe's first Mississippi board member and displayed a deep passion for the education of all within our community. Originally called Ray of Hope, Mary Kay inspired us to provide assistance to people with life-altering diseases and interruptions to life. She was an elementary school teacher within our community and served as a true inspiration. Renamed after her, The MKD Education Center hopes to allow people to take their knowledge and wisdom and share it with others.

Our goal is to provide a readily accessible space and opportunity for people within the community to share their knowledge and wisdom with others.
