It has been a busy week at Starfish Café!! Congratulations to Kim Johnson who graduated on Saturday from the Starfish Café job and life-skills training program. Kim is exploring a couple opportunities for employment and will be helping out over the summer with our new Fine Fresh Friday Fundraiser.
We also welcome this week two new students, Jessica and Therrel! We say goodbye to Alysia this week as she takes a 2-month sabbatical and will return in July to complete the program. Welcome back to Jason who graduated in December and will be working for the summer at Starfish Café!! We are GROWING!
On April 15, we kicked off our Fine Fresh Friday Dining where we offer a 4-course prix-fixed menu of fine dining with the proceeds to benefit the Capital Campaign (we must raise $160,000 by Dec. 1, 2017). This Friday dining experience will be a culinary exploration of style, flavor, traditions and trending foods prepared by Chef Zac and Chef Charlie. We are using fresh ingredients and as the summer progresses, more and more will come directly from our gardens. Reservations are encouraged as seating is limited.
This coming week will be an Italian Night (see menu), the suggested donation is $45 per person and includes all four courses, (Diners may also make a tax deductible donation separately from the dinner.)
